You love your home. You love your stuff- well, some of it, anyway. It just doesn’t seem to be coming together in the way that best reflects who you are.  We can help you make your home more beautiful by curating  your special things and editing out the rest, and holding your hand all the while.

Styling Consultation-

After we have met to discuss what your objective is, and after I have seen your home, I will develop a report that would include ideas for how to create a home that better reflects your sensibilities. This will include advice on color,  movement of your existing furniture, and how to edit, compose and curate your interiors.

Styling-

After we have determined what your needs are, I can work with what you have to create a home that makes good use of  the space you have, with an edited and re-imagined use of the things that you love.

Mini-Styling-

This is for smaller areas in your home that may be troubling you. Closets that over-flow, jumbled bookshelves, children’s rooms with toys and clothes they have out-grown, kitchen cabinets stuffed with unused gadgets, a desk that hasn’t seen the light of day since the Clinton administration- these are just a few of the places a mini-styling could mean a big quality of life improvement.

Mini-Event Styling-

It’s your turn to host book group, but you really don’t want your friends to see your living room. Or your mother-in-law is coming for a visit and you’d really rather she didn’t know that laundry is a permanent fixture on the guest bed. I can help you create a beautiful, welcoming space which might not last forever, but could go a long way in creating the illusion.

FAQ about Styling:

I would love to have a stylist, but it must be so expensive!
-It is my pleasure and commitment to offer very affordable styling. Styling is not just for the very wealthy, it is for all of us. We can most likely work with you to match your budget.

I don’t want to have to buy new stuff.
-We don’t want you to, either! Styling will utilize the things you already have to create a curated space that best reflects your sensibilities.

I know what I like, but I don’t know how to explain it. Can you help?
-Yes! We can sit down together and look at different books, magazines, and websites, or we can communicate online, and then I can help you identify you feel inspired by.

Can you help me knock down this wall/ install a chandelier/ design a kitchen?
-Um, no. Styling will help you create a beautiful space within the existing framework of your home, with the things you already have. We can, however, recommend some folks around town.

What about color? I love it but I’m scared.
-Color is to be embraced. Paint is the most effective way to transform an interior with the least amount of cash. It will make you so happy- really. And it’s not a major commitment, either- when you are ready for a different look, just paint it again! If paint feels like too much, a lot can be done with small pops of color in things like art, textiles, and accessories.
