…and the color of the year is (drum roll) turquoise.
They say, “Turquoise evokes thoughts of soothing, tropical waters and a languorous, effective escape from the everyday troubles of the world, while at the same time restoring our sense of wellbeing.”
What do you think of that?

Yes! I concur! I’m trying to find the right turquoise for the bathroom at my new place. It again needs to be a dark, rich, warm turquoise that goes well with antique gold frames and such. I had two different turquoises at my former home (living room, bedroom). It’s amazing though how much difference the light makes. I tried my leftover paints from my former place and neither worked here – lots of sunlight, no shadows.
I can’t wait to see. It will be gorgeous, like the rest of the house.
I’ve been told to wear turquoise when wanting to win people over; when it’s important for them to like me.
Much like red is for power, turquoise is for trust.
Lorraine’s quest for the perfect shade is something I can relate to.
